JPS-iQ Solutions Group NetSuite Health Check Independent diagnostic · Fixed scope · Senior-led

Something in NetSuite is not working the way it should.

We find out what is actually wrong, what is causing it and what should sensibly happen next. Including when the answer is: keep it and optimise.

Why a Health Check

We do not start by selling a reimplementation.

We start by finding out what is actually wrong. Some of it is configuration. Some is process design. Some is an integration, a customisation, a question of ownership or of the operating model. The Health Check establishes which.

The entry point is the area that hurts.

Nine process areas, on their own or combined. It should not take a transformation programme to learn why the close takes twelve days.

We also recommend what we will not deliver ourselves.

The Health Check does not depend on a follow-on project. Where the right action sits with your existing partner or your own team, the report says exactly that.

The scope is fixed before we start.

You know in advance which areas we review and how deep. No open-ended scoping and no consulting clock running in the background.

Triggers

When these sentences come up in your team, a Health Check is worth it.

Ten sentences we hear regularly from companies already running NetSuite.

The close takes too long. Closing calendar, reconciliations and intercompany do not mesh.
Intercompany still happens in spreadsheets. Netting sits outside the system and is merged at month-end.
The numbers are not trusted. Reports contradict each other depending on who runs them.
Integrations fail regularly. Errors surface when someone looks for them, not when they occur.
Customisation has become unmanageable. Nobody can say which scripts and workflows are still needed.
Manufacturing in the system is not the real manufacturing. BOMs, routings and feedback do not reflect the actual flow.
Users work around NetSuite. Side lists and email chains replace system steps.
The current partner fixes symptoms. Every ticket gets closed, the pattern stays.
German localisation creates recurring manual work. DATEV, VAT and statutory filings depend on manual steps.
Nobody knows which configuration is still needed. Settings grew over time, undocumented and unowned.

None of these sentences says what is broken. They only say that something is. That gap is what the Health Check closes.

What “working correctly” looks like

Saved searches, reports and dashboards the way NetSuite actually intends them.

Most of what a Health Check fixes is not visible from the outside — it shows up as a report that used to take seconds and now takes a minute, or a saved search nobody trusts anymore. We benchmark your environment against what native NetSuite reporting is supposed to deliver.

Diagnose before you rebuild

The finding comes first, not the solution.

A Health Check does not necessarily end in a project. It ends by giving every finding a cause and a kind of answer.

Every finding gets a cause

ConfigurationProcessDataIntegrationCustomisationReportingGovernanceLocalisationCapacity

And one of eight possible answers

KEEP & OPTIMISE

The setup holds. What is missing is refinement, not foundation.

RECONFIGURE

The capability is there, the configuration is wrong.

REDESIGN PROCESS

The system can do it. The process around it cannot.

REMOVE CUSTOMISATION

Built because the standard capability was not known at the time.

FIX INTEGRATION

Data arrives, but not completely and not on time.

CHANGE OPERATING PROCESS

What has to change is not the configuration but the ownership.

ADD SUPPORT OR CAPACITY

The process is right, what is missing is hands or knowledge.

REIMPLEMENT, ONLY WHERE JUSTIFIED

The rarest finding, and the only one that needs a justification.

Reimplementation is one of eight answers. Not the starting point and not the norm.

Two review depths

The system can be configured correctly and the process can still be broken.

That is why the Health Check has two depths. The difference is not duration. It is how far we look.

System only

Is NetSuite itself configured and running correctly?

Configuration, architecture and system behaviour. The right scope when you believe the problem sits inside NetSuite.

What comes into view
NetSuiteConfigurationArchitectureDataCustomisationIntegrationReportingPermissionsPerformance
System & operations

Is the complete process working — in NetSuite and in the organisation around it?

Everything in System only, plus the end-to-end process, responsibilities, handovers, controls and the manual workarounds that have crept in.

And in addition
All nine dimensions from System onlyProcessPeople and operating model
The same finding at two depths

System only: The reconciliation accounts are not set up as such, so the difference only surfaces at close.

System & operations: Additionally, nobody is named as the owner of that reconciliation, and the correction has run through a side list for two years.

What you receive

A report that carries a decision.

From practice · Germany & localisation

A rarely told truth about NetSuite localisation.

For Germany and EMEA, NetSuite ships native localisation bundles at no extra cost — including German chart-of-accounts templates, DATEV export, SEPA and ISO-20022 payments, EU VAT and Intrastat reporting. Many clients do not use them because the configuration was skipped during the original rollout.

For one DACH mid-market client we configured these native bundles correctly and replaced an existing paid third-party bundle with identical functional coverage.

  • Approx. €6,600 net annual license saving — falling straight to the P&L from year two.
  • Noticeably more stable system behaviour, because the scheduled scripts and workflows from the third-party bundle simply drop out in the native path.
  • Compliance unchanged: DATEV export, VAT advance return and EU VAT reporting continue to run natively.
Where we deliver

DACH as the core — AMER and APAC from our own entities.

When it is burning

Some situations do not need a diagnosis. They need a conversation first.

A go-live that is tipping over. A close that will not close. A project that has stood still for months. Then going through area and depth selection is the wrong route.

Write to us directly with Recovery in the subject line. We treat those enquiries with priority and come back to you before we talk about any review scope.

Which product when

Four products, four moments.

The Health Check is the product for existing installations. The three assessments sit before it, each at a different decision.

Before the decision NetSuite Fit Assessment You do not have NetSuite yet. The question is whether it fits your structure.
Before a manufacturing rollout Manufacturing Readiness Assessment You are planning manufacturing in NetSuite and want to know what the standard actually covers.
Before a multi-entity rollout OneWorld Finance Assessment You are planning OneWorld and want the finance architecture to hold before you start.
After go-live NetSuite Health Check NetSuite is already running. Something is not working and you want to know why.
Hard questions

What Finance and IT leaders really ask before a Health Check.

The most common objections, answered openly.

What exactly is the NetSuite Health Check?

A productised assessment for existing NetSuite installations. Depending on the process area and review depth you choose, we examine performance, process-fit, license and bundle inventory, governance and audit-readiness. Output is a documented scorecard with prioritised findings and concrete, actionable next steps.

No open-ended T&M scoping, no running advisory clock, no dependency on a follow-on engagement.

We pay annually for a third-party localisation bundle — is switching to native NetSuite bundles worth it?

Very often yes. NetSuite ships native EMEA and GER localisation bundles at no extra cost — including DATEV export, SEPA payments, German chart-of-accounts templates, EU VAT and Intrastat reporting.

The Germany & localisation area builds the replacement matrix and calculates the annual saving. In one DACH case that came to roughly €6,600 net per year — plus a noticeably more stable system, because the scheduled scripts and workflows of the third-party bundle simply fall away in the native path.

Which areas and which depth fit our situation?

If you believe the problem sits in the system, System only on the affected area is usually enough. If the process breaks in several places and users work around NetSuite, System & operations is the more honest scope.

If you are unsure: pick the area that hurts most and describe the problem in your own words. We will propose the scope.

Is the result mine even without a follow-on engagement?

Yes. The report stays with you and is usable independently, including as a reference against other NetSuite partners. It is written so that a third party can work from it.

On commercial terms: they depend on the process area and review depth you choose. You get them with the scope proposal, before you decide.

Does JPS-iQ deliver these assessments outside the DACH region?

Yes. Our focus is DACH with a senior team on the ground. For OneWorld clients with US or APAC subsidiaries we deliver from our own entities: AMER coverage through our US subsidiary on Eastern/Pacific hours, APAC coverage through our Singapore and Manila entities.

No partner chains, no timezone gaps, one consistent delivery standard across all three regions.

Who runs the assessment?

Every assessment is run at senior level. The person who signs the report is the same person who runs the scoping call and presents the readout to the leadership team.

No delegated junior delivery, no farm teams. That is the baseline for the NetSuite Business Unit — particularly non-negotiable in the Health Check context.
